Being a long time player of World of Warcraft I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the Wratch of the Lich King expansion pack Collector's Edition. There has been some great threads on the Warcraft forums keeping people up to date with any progress in finding out when the UK release date would be for the Collector's Edition. Last week Blizzard announced that the UK would definitely be getting the Collector's Edition, and it was soon discovered that Gamestation had the product code for the preorder if you went in store.

Personally I've always had good service from Game.co.uk. I got multiple copies of The Burning Crusade online from there without a hitch, so I thought I'd contact their customer service department to see if they had any idea if and when they would be selling the WotLK Collector's Edition. I did this on Sunday 28th September.

It's now Thursday 2nd October.

Since my email on Sunday Game.co.uk have listed the Wratch of the Lich King Collector's Edition (now currently sold out). This came online on Tuesday 30th September and on Wednesday 1st October I successfully managed to order myself a few copies and the orders have been confirmed by email, for what that is worth.

Roll on today, Thursday. 4 days after my initial enquiry. 2 days after the website starting stocking and selling the product. 1 day after I bought a few copies. Here's my reply from Game Customer Services:

I have spoken to our buying team and as yet there are no plans to stock this game. However this may change and as soon as we have more information we will update our website at www.game.co.uk.
